february's gathering: a midwinter feast
our midwinter gathering menu featured variations of some of our favorite common table ingredients to date, including duck confit, butternut squash, and of course... ice cream. brown butter ice cream, at that. we loved gathering ten of you around our hosts' table (thank you, peaks!) and serving these four warm & savory courses at the end of a nashville's bitter cold ice week. thanks for braving the roads to be with us!
also, shoutout to our featured wine of the evening: the mascot, straight out of napa valley. never have we ever seen a cabernet sauvignon put a sparkle in the eyes of our guests like this one did. this wine was fruit-forward and beautifully approachable on its own, and only taken to the next level when paired with our duck dish.
lastly, thank you to our musical guest for the evening, matt wright. your songs and jokes added an unforgettable amount of warmth and joy to the table.
our next gathering will be in may (date TBD), as a couple of our teammates will be traveling in europe this spring. but we hope to come back more inspired than ever, with our experiences abroad sprinkled creatively into both of our coming summer gatherings.
until then, we hope you find inspiration in these photos to gather around your own tables with loved ones and new friends more often this spring. it'll help life slow down, in the best way.
